Extra carbon fiber, extra light weight. Quasar CR is the ultralight version of this successful 142 mm saddle.
What makes a difference compared to the standard model is the new rail: in the CR version it is entirely made of UD T700 carbon fiber. Thanks to this substantial innovation, the total weight has dropped to just 130 grams.
The new Quasar CR is among the lightest padded seats world-wide.
Repente has not changed the structure shape, and consequently, the saddle's seating comfort, one of the main assets of this model.
Carbon fiber is also present in the shell in the form of long fibres (LCF technology), which further strengthen the PA12 structure.
Ever since its debut, Quasar has been chosen by many male and female road and off-road specialists. Among them, there are several racers and professional athletes. Its CR evolution can now meet the needs of even the most demanding cyclists, at a price currently unmatched on the market for these quality standards.
Quasar CR is entirely manufactured in Italy.
The saddle measures 260 mm x 142 mm. The “smart length" of 260 mm ideally compromises between the necessary freedom of movement for the cyclist and, at the same time, a highly effective support when pushing.
In line with the most common industry standards, the Quasar CR rail section is 7x9 mm.
The seat inspiration is a "flat" design. The saddle has a large central opening for relieving pressure in the perineal area. The wide rear support surface has been modelled according to the anatomical and ergonomic requirements of Repente's signature "Close fit" design: the marque's iconic shaping that ensures seat comfort without having to use thick layers of padding.
The padding is in PU.
The water-based PU microfiber cover has an anti-slip function: it allows the most effective pedaling position to be easily maintained, without however hindering free movement on the saddle.
The shape of the front, tapered at the tip, has been modelled to allow an easy transition from the sitting position to the sprinting position and back.
